Get ready for the new SIGNL4 update. The completely redesigned API makes it easier than ever to connect your systems and tools and consolidate alerts from every source – so nothing gets missed.
With the new Automation menu, you can now manage automated alert routing and filtering from one central place, ensuring the right alerts reach the right person at the right time.
New REST API Version 3.0
We’ve modernized our REST API to make it even easier to work with:
- Consistent and clearer naming conventions
- Modernized API documentation
- Entity names now match the terminology used in the portal
- Deprecated endpoints removed
This makes it much easier to use our flexible API and connect SIGNL4 with third-party applications and scripts.
New Menu Section: Automation & Workflows
You’ll now find a new “Automation” section in the menu. This area includes the former distribution rules (previously located under “Integrations”), which we’ve renamed to “Workflows.”
This makes it much clearer how SIGNL4 helps automate alerting and incident response processes. Under “Automation,” you can now manage all workflows in one place.
Workflows let you define who gets alerted, when, how, and why – thanks to:
- Intelligent filtering
- Deduplication
- Custom rules
- Configurable response times
We’ve also added direct links between individual workflows and the related scheduling and escalation settings of the assigned teams.
Stakeholder Signls Now Support Attachments
To help you keep stakeholders better informed during incidents or status updates, we’ve expanded Stakeholder Signls in the mobile app.
Starting now, images and other attachments are displayed in the mobile app whenever a Stakeholder Signl is triggered via email and includes attachments.
Next, we’ll add support for sending images and other media types directly through manually sent Signls.
Expanded Roles for Call Routing
Team Admins can now manage call routing numbers assigned to their teams – previously, this was limited to global Account Admins only.
Once an Account Admin sets up a number, Team Admins can independently configure voice prompts and other settings on their own.
This allows for better delegation and reduces the workload for Account Admins.
Updated SMS Links for Turkey
Due to compliance requirements, SMS messages sent to Turkey are no longer allowed to contain clickable URLs.
As a result, links in these SMS messages are now automatically reformatted. The link will still be displayed, but it will no longer be clickable.
As always, we hope you enjoy exploring the new features and have fun working with SIGNL4! 🙂
