Mobile alerting with tracking & escalation for Samanage
The Samanage application is a cloud-based IT service desk and asset management platform. The asset management solution is an agent-based system that collects data from Windows, Mac, Linux, and Unix systems. Samanage relies on email notifications to alert users of incidents and tickets created within the system. SIGNL4 greatly enhances this workflow by intercepting these emails and delivering them to users’ smartphones via push, text and voice calls. Emails will no longer be overlooked and with persistent notifications, incidents will be acknowledged and corrected faster than ever before.
How it Works
SIGNL4 can retrieve detailed incident information sent from Samanage via an email webhook. On-call users responsible for such incidents will receive mobile alerts and can take ownership and even collaborate with peers if needed.

How To Integrate
Integrate SIGNL4 with Samanage
Forwarding ticket information is quick and easy. Just enter your team’s SIGNL4 email address and the ticket is automatically sent to the on call members. Teammates can collaborate in the Signl’s that are raised and if an alert goes unacknowledged, it is escalated to a manager.
SIGNL4 uses ‘Services & Systems’ alert categories to improve readability of critical alerts and to increase attentiveness. Whenever SIGNL4 receives an event, it tries to match defined categories to determine how to color the alert, which push sound to use, and which icon to assign. Categories are also used as a way to augment alerts.
Easy to Read Alerting
SIGNL4 automatically separates parameters received and displays them in a format that can be easily read and deciphered. Here are two examples of how SIGNL4 takes an email and a JSON post to a Webhook and displays them in boxes within the app.

Alert Severity At A Glance
Under the Services and Systems section, you can further enrich the alerts with color and icons. Having an alert raise with a red background for critical alerts and yellow for medium alerts, etc. will allow users to know at a glance if the alert is urgent. These color schemes and icons are read through the incoming events parameters and identified as keywords which trigger the condition of the displayed alert.
Overriding Title and Text
Overwriting Signl values can provide attention grabbing text that immediately alerts the user that an issue is critical. No matter what subject line was sent from the following alert, the title of the alert will be changed based on the value set below.
