Why SIGNL4
Anturis is a cloud based IT monitoring system (SaaS) for servers, applications, websites and networks. The monitoring dashboard gives a great overview of your setup but where SIGNL4 comes in is at the alerting level. Currently Anturis will send an email to specified parties. SIGNL4 allows for those emails to be directed to the right people at the right time. With on-call duty scheduling and a tiered escalation to a manager, SIGNL4 ensures that the email will not be lost in a sea of emails.
How it Works
SIGNL4 team email address establishes connection with Anturis to enable mobile notification and alerting capabilities for operational and network teams.

HOW TO INTEGRATE
Once you have all the monitors set in place for the various agents that you have installed, you need to create a contact within Anturis. This contact will notify your SIGNL4 team. Select the People & Groups menu on the left. Then click New Person.
Enter in the SIGNL4 Team email address.
This address will need to be verified. You can verify the email address by clicking on the link in the first alert that comes through to your team. The alert should have the Anturis- E-mail Address Verification as the title. Receiving this means that you have established a connection between the two and from now on any alerts that are raised will result in a signal being sent to your team.
Make sure that the SIGNL4 team is in the responsible section of the components.
When viewing your infrastructure on the left, click on edit component at the top right. Make sure to add the SIGNL4 Team under the Responsible tab.
You can augement these alerts by going into the Signaling and Systems menu option within the SIGNL4 app and change the title , text and color of the alerts. This will give your team an at-a-glance view on the severity of the alert. Color code are a great way to indicate whether an alert is critical, medium or low priority.
ALERT OPTIMIZATION
SIGNL4 can further increase the visibility of alerts through its Signals and Services section. Augmenting the color and icon of alerts will provide more relevant information at a glance without having to open the alert.
